A Bully is Pompous

A bully pretends to be a strong leader, when in fact
he is a self-satisfied, self-indulgent braggart.

A bully inflates himself
- He exaggerates his own importance

- He acts like a know-it-all

- He claims superior knowledge and experience on every topic

- He never admits mistakes

- He never apologizes, unless to prove how rarely he makes a mistake

- He attempts to look as powerful as possible

- He drives an expensive status-car
A bully demeans others
- He treats others as unimportant and powerless

- He rarely treats someone as an equal

- He is condescending in words, tone of voice and mannerisms
A bully is a prima donna
- He is very dramatic about every issue that effects him

- He acts as if his project or division is the most important

- He demands that the company treat his projects as a priority

- He demands that you drop everything to help him

- He demands that you shift resources to him

- He demands an important title

- He demands a better office
A bully is a meeting hog
- He exploits meetings to pump up his own ego

- He tries to demonstrate his superior intellect

- He claims full credit for successes in his department

- He highlights the failures of others

- He tries to demolish the opposition in every discussion

- He holds side conversations with the person next to him

- He answers his cell phone

- He is frequently late and leaves early

- He has his assistant interrupt to give him messages

- He reviews important-looking documents not related to the meeting

- He makes notes about something not connected to the meeting
