A Bully is Passive-Aggressive

A bully may be aggressive towards you by things he DOESN'T do. By NOT doing something that would be done during the normal course of conducting business, he can insult you, hurt you and undermine you.

A bully cuts you out of the loop

- He keeps you in the dark about new strategies, projects and clients - He exiles you from his department - He excludes you from office communication (E-mail, memos, meetings, informal conversations, lunches)

A bully uses the silent treatment

- He sulks instead of confronting issues - He closes his office door more often - He doesn't return phone calls - He avoids meeting with you

A bully excludes you from social interaction within the company

- Social gatherings (after work or weekends) - Recreational events, such as afternoon golfing - Free-time activities during company retreats
