Visible Trait #7:
A Bully is Judgmental

A bully judges others in order to intimidate, belittle and weaken them.

A bully passes judgment
on your actions and intentions
- He suggests you lack competence, commitment or experience

- He is quick to place blame

- He is adept at creating scapegoats

- He exaggerates a problem rather than minimizing it

- He suggests that one person's criticism reflects everyone's view of you
A bully over-generalizes
- He stereotypes the behavior patterns of others

- He labels people with demeaning terms:
    "He is lazy, unmotivated, disruptive."
- He passes judgment by using innuendo:
    "That's just like him."
    If you make an honest mistake, he suggests you are a bad person.
- He suggests that a single action reveals a major character flaw:
    If you forget to do something, he calls you careless.
    If you don't work late to meet a deadline, he calls you uncommitted.
A bully expresses his personal
disappointment in your performance
- He implies you are overpaid and underworked

- He predicts a worst-case scenario as a result of your mistake

- He compares you to others who he describes as superior

- He attempts to creates envy, jealously and pressure
