A Bully is Overly Confident

A bully exudes a great deal of self-confidence
and is unaware of his own shortcomings.

A bully has too much self-esteem
- He thinks very highly of himself

- He has an exaggerated sense of self-importance

- He is a legend in his own mind

- He takes himself very seriously

- He is incapable of laughing at himself
A bully is arrogant
- He acts as if he is always right and others are usually wrong

- He doesn't recognize his own limitations

- He is never self-critical, unless to show how rarely he makes a mistake

- He distorts reality in order to shift blame away from himself
A bully suffers from intellectual narcissism
- He believes he has superior knowledge and judgement

- He believes he has a superior perspective

- He treats his ideas and goals as profoundly important

- He belittles and discounts the ideas and goals of others
A bully praises own accomplishments
- He claims credit for the hard work of others

- He is always satisfied with his own performance

- He is very outspoken about his accomplishments

- He is silent or belittles the accomplishments of others
A bully is highly self-centered and self-absorbed
- He only makes time for you when it is convenient for him

- He relates everything you say back to himself and his situation

- His interest in you is solely for gaining useful information or controlling you

- He is incapable of genuine, unselfish human kindness (his ego always gets in the way)
