Manipulation: The Primary Method of Bullying

Master Manipulator Spectrum of Manipulation
A bully is a master manipulator, highly skilled at influencing others for personal gain, usually in a shrewd, devious way. A bully keeps his own desires hidden, pretending to pursue the best interest of others, or of the firm.

But underneath his self-righteous image lies the essence of a manipulator: someone who attempts to control how you feel, how you think or how you behave, without your knowledge or agreement.
Healthy human relationships lack any hint of manipulation. Instead, you will find caring, concern, cooperation, simple interactions with others, and no striving for personal benefit.

Abusive manipulators are at the other end of the spectrum: cold-hearted, deceptive, self-centered, hyper-ambitious, with an emphasis on overly complex, confusing and manipulative relationships.
